Originally established as St. Joseph's Balika Bidyalaya in 1993, our institution has a proud history of promoting girls' education and addressing female illiteracy in rural communities. A legacy of educational excellence and community service
St. Joseph Odia Medium School was inaugurated on June 24, 1992, at Douland with Shri Ainthu Sahoo, Chairman of Orissa Forest Corporation Ltd. as chief guest. Most Rev. Archbishop Raphael Cheenath S.V.D. blessed the school. The school started functioning on July 1, 1992, with 60 children in Class I.
Recognizing the need to address female illiteracy in the village, the school was transformed into St. Joseph's Balika Bidyalaya, giving preference to girls' education to ensure their empowerment and development.
Extended our mission to Bharatpur with a vision to provide quality Odia medium education to children of all communities, maintaining our commitment to inclusive education.
Expanded our campus with modern classrooms, science laboratory, and library facilities to enhance the learning experience.
Introduced computer education and digital learning tools to prepare students for the modern world.
Received recognition for outstanding academic performance and contribution to education in the region.
Today, we proudly serve 850+ students with 45+ dedicated teachers, maintaining our commitment to excellence.
